My story
I was lucky enough to be plonked on skis as soon as I could walk, and for my 5th birthday I was given a snowboard (thanks mum and dad, aka legends!)
I did both skiing and snowboarding for a few years before sticking to the cooler one when I was age 10 (ish). I started to get more into freestyle and began entering local competitions, which I loved. Check out my results here :)
A few more years went by of shredding with my top coach/dad, Kai as well as many lessons with Mint, Onyx, Real, Jamie Nicholls and a few other legends. I was learning loads and always had a huge smile on my face.
When I was 16 I did my BASI Level 1 Instructor course at Tamworth Snowdome. I got a job instructing there while I studied at Loughborough College for two years. I would spend a lot of time at Loughborough University across the road with the Snowsports Society which was a lot of fun ;)
I passed my BASI Level 2 in Morzine over my 18th birthday which was incredible! Around the same time, I started working for Fall Line Skiing Magazine as their Sales Support alongside teaching at the dome. This gave me the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world - so obviously I went and did a season!
I went on to have possibly the best first season ever known to man, in Morzine, where I feel like I grew up - proper full circle moment :)
After Morzine, I went on an Airbag Training Camp in Sweden with Lachie Good and his team of pro snowboarders, the Outsiders. It was so amazing and I felt like I'd done a whole extra season in terms of my snowboarding progression.
In Morzine, I had a yolo moment and booked some flights to New Zealand for the summer. I went on a month long, solo adventure to the other side of the world and had the opportunity to snowboard in Cardrona for 2 weeks. Mental!
I'm currently on my second season in Morzine, living the absolute dream again. Working remotely, snowboarding every day and feeling incredibly blessed to have this life!
